A warm, sourced guide to the shows around Pasadena from mid to late November: Haley Heynderickx on November 18, Patrick Warburton at The Ice House that same night, Brennan Wedl with Georgia Maq and MyVeronica on November 19, Pedro The Lion with Karli Fairbanks on November 21, Passing Strange at the Pasadena Playhouse through the 21st, Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas on November 27, and Spanish Love Songs with illuminati hotties and Kali Masi on November 28, with dates, times, and links.

Sid the Cat Auditorium in South Pasadena carries most of the month's late-November highlights, and it is a genuinely varied stretch: the Portland songwriter Haley Heynderickx on November 18, a KCRW-presented night with Brennan Wedl on November 19, the long-running indie project Pedro The Lion on November 21, the surf-and-garage band of SpongeBob's own voice on November 27, and Spanish Love Songs closing the run on November 28. Around town, Patrick Warburton headlines comedy at The Ice House on November 18, and the Pasadena Playhouse stages Passing Strange through November 21. I am Alejandro Espitia, a Broker Associate and REALTOR with Apex Realty and Investments, licensed in California (01213999) since 1996, serving Los Angeles, San Bernardino, San Gabriel, and Riverside, fluent in English and Spanish. I keep a running list of what is happening in the neighborhoods I serve, and every show below comes from the venue's own site or current event listings, with sources at the bottom of the post.
November 18: Haley Heynderickx at Sid the Cat
On Wednesday, November 18 at 7:00 pm, the Portland singer-songwriter Haley Heynderickx plays Sid the Cat Auditorium at 1022 El Centro Street in South Pasadena. Heynderickx's intimate, quietly forceful folk made I Need to Start a Garden one of the most beloved indie releases of the last decade, and her live shows have a way of filling a small room with complete silence and then a standing ovation. The show is all ages. Listings and ticket buttons are on Oh My Rockness, with tour dates on Ground Control Touring and Bandsintown.
November 18: Patrick Warburton at The Ice House
On Wednesday, November 18, comedian and actor Patrick Warburton headlines The Ice House at 24 N. Mentor Avenue in Pasadena, the country's oldest comedy club, opened in 1960 and fully restored with two showrooms and a new bar and patio. Warburton, known to millions as Puddy on Seinfeld and the voice of Kronk, brings the dry, unflappable delivery he has perfected across decades of sitcoms and animation. Showtimes and tickets are on the Ice House page on Bandsintown and the Ice House site.
November 19: Brennan Wedl with Georgia Maq and MyVeronica, presented with KCRW
On Thursday, November 19 at 7:00 pm, Brennan Wedl plays Sid the Cat Auditorium with Georgia Maq and MyVeronica opening, an evening presented with KCRW. Wedl's wry, melody-first indie rock has been a constant on the Southern California scene for years, and KCRW-presented nights at this room have a way of selling out early. Tickets start around $26.25 on Dice, with the full venue calendar on DoLA.
November 21: Pedro The Lion with Karli Fairbanks
On Saturday, November 21 at 8:00 pm, Pedro The Lion plays Sid the Cat with Karli Fairbanks opening. David Bazan's longtime project writes precise, confessional songs about faith, family, and staying awake in middle America, and after years of stripped-down solo work, the full band version has been a return to form on records like Santa Fe. Tickets are on Dice.
November 18 - 21: Passing Strange at the Pasadena Playhouse
From Wednesday, November 18 through Saturday, November 21, the Pasadena Playhouse at 39 S. El Molino Avenue stages Passing Strange, the Tony-winning musical by Stew and Heidi Rodewald about a young Black artist who leaves church-basement Los Angeles for the art, romance, and rebellion of Europe. Evening shows are at 7:30 pm with a 2:00 pm Saturday matinee. Details and tickets are on the Playhouse listing on Theater Guide and the Playhouse site.
November 27: Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas
On Friday, November 27 at 8:00 pm, Tom Kenny & The Hi-Seas play Sid the Cat Auditorium with Michael Michael Motorcycle opening, an all-ages show. Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants and a lifelong cartoon, comedy, and punk fixture, fronts a band that blends surf, garage rock, and jokes into a genuinely unmissable live show, the kind where parents and kids are equally delighted. Listings and tickets are on Oh My Rockness and Bandsintown.
November 28: Spanish Love Songs with illuminati hotties and Kali Masi
On Saturday, November 28 at 8:00 pm, Spanish Love Songs headline Sid the Cat Auditorium with illuminati hotties and Kali Masi on the bill. The Los Angeles punk band's anthem-heavy album No Joy made it one of the most essential live acts in the genre, and their shows sell out well in advance, so this is one to plan around. The full lineup and tickets are on Dice, with the venue's wider November schedule on Sid the Cat's site.
Looking ahead: Mannheim Steamroller at the Civic
For a December plan, Mannheim Steamroller brings its Christmas tour to the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Sunday, December 6, the annual synth-and-orchestra holiday spectacular that has become a family tradition for a generation. Keep an eye on the Visit Pasadena Civic page for the full winter lineup as it is announced.
A note on details: show times, support acts, and ticket availability can shift, especially for small rooms, so please confirm directly with the venue before you go and use the links below for the latest. The first half of November, including mary in the junkyard, Greg Freeman, IAN SWEET, Whitmer Thomas, and Sparta, is covered in the early to mid November guide. If you hear of a great show around Pasadena I missed, text me and I will add it to the next edition.
